Whit Clifford 2009

Name: Whit Clifford
DOB: 10/22/80
Favorite Locos Meal: Locos Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken
About: Whit played Linebacker at Georgia Southern University, where he won 3 Southern Conference Championships and 1 National Title.  He was also Academic All-Conference his Sophomore year.  After college Whit knew he was going to have to find a new release for his competitive nature.  After tiring of the weight room a friend suggested road riding and on an impulse he bought a bike the next day.  Whit took to it immediately and started racing a few weeks later.  In his first year riding Whit lost over 50 pounds of football muscle.  In just 3 short years Whit has moved to the elite level.  Whit has won races since he started racing and has been on the podium at least 3 times every season.  This will be Whit’s first season with Locos.  He excels in fast criterium races with his powerful accelerations, bunch sprints and time trails.
